Intercity Express' (ICEs)

The Intercity Express (ICE) came into service in 1988 as a long distance train between Brisbane and Rockhampton (The Tilt Train is also doing revenue service on this run), also used on the afternoon Roma St- Gympie North run. These trains have also been utilised in the Citytrain Network such as the former Corinda-Yerrongpilly shuttle (Now withdrawn). The ICE could be the QLD equivalent to the NSW "V-SET" :-)

ICE 151, ex. Rockhampton, Brisbane bound arrives with the "Spirit of Capricorn" 10mins late into Nambour station. ICE151 was 6 Carriages (We travelled in Car F).
